Friend and a Fellow Landscape Photographer

Andy Katz and Kevin Raber Talk Photography

I have a lot of friends in photography and it’s always good to see old friends again.  One of these friends is Andy Katz.  Andy is a Sony Artisan and was at the Sony Kendo event.  Andy is a landscape photographer focusing on vineyards around the world.

Andy has a great story on how he got started like many artists and photographers as one who was a starving artist.  He, of course, has done quite well in his career and shares that with us in the video.

Andy loved traveling and since a young man did projects and saw his photography career grow.  He attributes much of his success to hard work and good luck.  As any young photographer he took any job there was and saved his money so he could afford to travel and do photography at various locations around the world.

He was fortunate enough to become friends with musician Dan Fogelberg and did a lot of covers for his records.  Andy also loves producing photo books and has quite a few to his name.

Andy has a high energy spirit and we have a good chat about photography.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
